KUPWARA: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today convened a meeting of officers at DC Office Complex to review the progress of various programmes under Centrally Sponsored “Transformation of Aspirational District” scheme.
It was given out that in the Health Sector, district is progressing well in all the indicators and it was stated that 14 out of 298 Sub-Centers have been transformed into Health and Wellness Centres and work on the remaining 24 Health Centres is in progress.
Under the education sector, total 1764 out of 1838 schools have been provided drinking water supply and 135 out of 143 Higher Secondary Schools have been electrified till November 2018.
It was further mentioned that 125 Anganwari buildings are being constructed in convergence with MGNREGA and will be commissioned by the end of March 2019.
The meeting was informed that a total of 96,000 Soil Health Cards have been distributed among the farmers of the district and as such district shall be saturated by 15th of December 2018.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC urged the officers to saturate the district under identified schemes by the end of the financial year 2018-19. He further emphasized upon the officers to work as a team with coordination and dedication towards achieving maximum results in minimum time.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kupwara, JD Planning Kupwara, Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kupwara, District Manager CSC e-governace, BMOs, CDPOs and other concerned officials.
